Comeback: Frankie Sandford defied doctors' orders tonight to perform with the Saturdays on Children in Need



She is under strict doctors' orders to limit her activity to attending rehearsals for her band's upcoming tour.

But Frankie Sandford defied her instructions tonight to make her first television performance in months in aid of Children in Need.

The 22-year-old made a sensational comeback tonight to perform their new single My Heart Takes Over with The Saturdays during the marathon fundraising show.

Frankie took to the stage in a stunning silver gown with a daring slit up one thigh.

Although slender, she looked healthy and gorgeous as she performed with her equally glamorous band mates.

The girls all wore sequinned, floor length dresses for their performance, with Rochelle in glittering gold and Mollie in a navy dress with plunging neckline.

Vanessa wore a deep purple version while pregnant Una hid her bump in black.

Earlier in the day The Saturdays performed without Frankie on Loose Women to promote their new single.

Miss Sandford had been dubbed a 'part-time Saturday' after she was instructed by doctors to not participate in any televised performances while she recovered from a recent mystery illness.

In a statement this week, a spokesperson for the singer told MailOnline: 'Frankie is still ill and she's taking her time to recover. under doctor's orders she is only permitted to attend tour rehearsals.

'She's easing herself back in to things with the group but will be appearing on the tour which starts at the end of this month.'

The Saturdays will be heading on their first UK arena tour this winter, beginning on December 2nd in Bournemouth and ending at London's Wembley Arena on December 16th.
