'Crying fits': Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston were seen stepping out for dinner together with their daughter Bobbi Kristina last week

He is reportedly 'in and out of crying fits' after the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston. But Bobby Brown decided the show must go on and still took to the stage to perform with his band New Edition, just hours after the iconic singer's sudden and tragic passing.
During his concert in Mississippi, the 43-year-old tearfully shouted, 'I love you, Whitney,' as he blew kisses to the sky.

Bobby told the crowd: 'I would like to say, "I love you, Whitney." The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage.'
According to Us Weekly, Bobby received huge applause as he came onstage late, after apparently breaking down just before the show was due to begin.
A source told the publication that Bobby broke down during his performance of the ballad Tenderoni, and asked the audience to sing along as he sobbed.
He was then unable to finish the song and walked off, with the concert finishing shortly afterwards.
A relative of Bobby has said that he is 'shattered and beyond devastated' at the news.

The source has said: 'He wanted to tell everyone about it before it hit the news. He didn't want any of us to hear about it on television.
The relative added: 'He could hardly get the words out when he called me. He was sobbing, and by the end of the call, I was sobbing too. He's beside himself right now.'
Whitney died this afternoon at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, aged 48.

Life-saving attempts were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at 3.55pm.
The cause of death is as yet unknown.
TMZ also reports that according to hotel staff, the star 'partied heavily' with friends last night, who were all drinking in the bar and making lots of noise.
Bobby and Whitney had a notoriously turbulent relationship that was riddled with drug use and marital problems.
Whitney admitted that she and Bobby took cocaine and marijuana together through their 14 years of marriage.
During this tumultuous time, Bobby was arrested for drugs and alcohol and Whitney entered drug rehabilitation programs twice.
They wed in July 1992 and eventually separated in September 2006, before their divorce was finalised in April 2007.

Whitney looked happy as she left the Beverly Hills eatery after dinner, and was followed shortly after Bobby and Bobbi Kristina, who held hands as they headed off together.
Whitney won custody of Bobbi Kristina following her divorce from the R&B star, with Bobby being allowed visitation rights.
However the pair's last public outing together showed they seemed to have put their toxic past behind them.

Whitney Houston's daughter was released in the early evening after she was taken to hospital just hours after her mother was found dead in a hotel bathroom.
Bobbi Kristina, 18, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center just after midnight Saturday night, and then again around 10.30am Sunday morning. She was treated and released Sunday night, with reports that she was dealing with massive anxiety after the death of her mother.
Her initial trip to the hospital came after learning of the devastating news, when the teenager had consumed alcoholic drinks and was then given a sedative to calm her down by one of her mother's entourage. She ended up passing out, according to Radaronline.

It comes as the first picture emerged today of Whitney Houston's on-off boyfriend Ray-J leaving the hotel with his head in his hands, completely distraught.

Miss Houston drowned alone in a bathtub having accidentally overdosed on a cocktail of prescription drugs and alcohol after two back-to-back evenings of out-of-control binges, it has been claimed.
The star was found dead under the water by her bodyguard in a luxury hotel suite said to have been littered with bottles of prescription pills. She was 48.
Ray-J mentioned 'missed calls' from Miss Houston, according to the International Business Times, adding: 'We all gotta live with that.'
Paramedics battled to revive the singer but she was pronounced dead at 3.55pm yesterday afternoon, hours before she had been due to perform at a pre-Grammys party at the Beverly Hills Hilton in LA.

The singer/reality TV star and Whitney Houston dated between 2007 and 2009 but it was believed they had recently picked up their romance after being spotted at an LA restaurant.
Ray-J, 17 years younger than Miss Houston, is the youngest brother of the singer Brandy and made a sex tape with Kim Kardashian in 2003 which was reportedly 'leaked' on to the Internet.

Bottles of Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax and a sleeping medication were found in the hotel room, it has been claimed. The drugs were believed to have acted as sedatives, causing her to fall asleep in the bathtub once they had been mixed with alcohol from the previous evenings.
An autopsy is to be carried out today, according to TMZ, but the results will be delayed as toxicology tests must also be run.
As police look into the possibility that the star died from an accidental overdose, there are expected to be emotional scenes at the Grammy awards tonight with many of the singers inspired by Miss Houston dedicating their awards to her.
Miss Houston had battled ravaging addictions to crack cocaine over the years but the drug is not believed to have played a part in her death. Police searched the room for illegal substances after discovering the body.

Her frantic daughter Bobbi Kristina is understood to have got into a 'furious screaming argument' with authorities who refused to let her into the hotel room to see the body of her dead mother. A source told People the 18-year-old was screaming: 'What's wrong with her? What's wrong with her?'
Friends of Miss Houston's cousin Dionne Warwick, who also went to the hotel to try to see the body, have said that she is 'inconsolable'.

Police also turned away Ray-J from Miss Houston's suite on the fourth floor after he raced from his home following news of her death, reported TMZ.
Miss Houston's body is now at the Los Angeles morgue as her family and the public still await the toxicology and autopsy reports.
That didn't stop her family and other celebrities to pay their respects. Last night around 800 guests attended a pre-Grammys dinner at the hotel where Miss Houston died.
Outside, fans gathered to mourn the star, leaving floral tributes and lighting candles.

Weighing in at almost 60 stone, Keith Martin has not been able to leave his house in 10 years. With eight men and an extra large stretcher needed to move him, it's a job only a specialist team can tackle.
But supersize Keith is getting bigger, heavier, and wider and could now be the world's fattest man.

The heavyweight, from Harlesden, north-west London, is believed to have taken the fattest man title from a 90-stone Mexican called Manuel Urbe, who has gone on a diet and is now a lighter 31st 6lbs.
But despite the accolade, life is a sad existence for Keith who has not had a girlfriend for 20 years.

The 42-year-old, who began binge eating after his mother died when he was a teenager, cannot find clothes to fit him and is forced to lie in bed everyday.

'My mother died when I was 16 and I didn't care about anything after that and couldn't care less what happened to me, I ate anything and everything.'

Keith, who has admitted to eating a couple of roast dinners in a row, is cared for by his two sisters, an ambulance crew of eight, four carers and four nurses.
His story will be featured on a new Channel 5 documentary called Big Body Squad which begins later this month.

The programme follows specialist ambulance teams who take to the road in their £90,000 adapted ambulances designed to transport plus size people.
The larger than life emergency crews are stretched to the limit transporting morbidly obese people who are too big to look after themselves.
Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor, said: 'This is a very thought provoking series that presents hard facts and unearths some interesting findings. Obesity is on the increase in Britain and somebody has got to take the strain. Physically and financially.'
The Guinness World Records have invited Keith to get in contact so it can investigate whether his is officially the fattest man in the world.
Big Body Squad airs on Wednesday, February 22, at 8pm on Channel 5.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson called race-row Liverpool striker Luis Suarez a 'disgrace' yesterday after he refused to shake hands with one of his players.
Suarez came face-to-face with Patrice Evra at Old Trafford for the first time since his eight-match ban for racially abusing the United captain last October.
But instead of drawing a line under the row, Suarez pointedly bypassed Evra during the traditional pre-match handshakes in a snub Sir Alex said could have 'caused a riot'.

Looking as if he intended to confront Suarez, Evra found his path to the Uruguayan blocked by Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.
It was the cue for five minutes of pushing and shoving in a melee in the players' tunnel involving several members of both teams that eventually had to be broken up by police.
Evra had also celebrated the win after the final in enthusiastic fashion with a dejected-looking Suarez metres away.
Evra's teammate Rio Ferdinand, who refused to shake Suarez's hand before kick-off, had his say on his colleague's exuberant celebrations in front of the Liverpool man on the final whistle.

After the match, Sir Alex conceded that Evra's enthusiastic celebrations in front of Suarez after the final whistle were inappropriate. 'He shouldn't have done that,' he said. Shortly before kick-off, thousands of copies of a Manchester United fanzine were seized by police.

The edition of Red Issue included a spoof poster of a Ku Klux Klan hood along with the words 'LFC', shorthand for Liverpool Football Club, and 'Suarez is innocent'.
Match commander Chief Superintendent Mark Roberts said the fanzines were seized because 'we cannot be in a situation where hundreds or thousands of people were displaying offensive images'.

'Something that may be hidden but truthful in the life of someone that we have all decided we know something about already. I am very proud of the film. Half of me is Streep but half of me is Wilkinson from Lincolnshire so I come by this part honestly.'

And this is her second BAFTA for leading actress, having taken the award in 1981 for The French Lieutenant's Woman.
The latter of which stole the night taking seven awards, including Original Screenplay, Costume Design and the coveted Best Film gong.

Its star Jean Dujardin won Best Actor, stealing it from under the noses of Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Gary Oldman and Michael Fassbender.
It also won Best Director, which was presented to Michael Hazanavicius, who had earlier accepted the Cinematography award for the film said: 'Thank you, again. I'm so proud that Brad Pitt pronounced my name so well.'
He also accepted the award for Best Original Screenplay for the movie and he said: 'I am very surprised, because most people thought there was no script because there was no dialogue. So the British people are very clever.'

John Hurt was recognised for his fantastic career when he was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to British Cinema award.
As he took to the podium, he made the audience laugh when he told them that his wife just told him to saying nothing more than 'thank you'.
He added: 'One of the difficult things about being given an award that you know are going to get is that you are expected to have had the time to write a speech.'

Hollywood comes to town: Christina Hendricks and Meryl Streep both took the plunge in corseted black gowns as they dazzled on the red carpet at the Orange BAFTA Awards at The Royal Opera House

We're used to seeing her covered up in elegant, demure red carpet gowns. But tonight, Meryl Streep gave always-provocative Christina Hendricks a run for her money as both attended the Orange British Academy Film Awards in plunging dresses by Vivienne Westwood.
Streep wore a black floor-length dress with a corset that showed off far more décolletage than we are used to seeing from The Iron Lady star. The Best Actress nominee covered her shouldered in a cropped sequinned jacket.
Mad Men star Christina was true to form in her equally plunging number, with bright red lips to match her fiery hair.

The Orange British Academy Film Awards air tonight on BBC3 for the Red Carpet Show at 7:30pm and BBC1 for the Awards Ceremony at 9pm.
