Olivia shows her 'Wilde' side in a backless dress as she steals the show from demure Amanda Seyfried at the In Time premiere

Black tie: Olivia Wilde looked stunning in a floor length backless dress, animal print clutch and strappy black sandals as she arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie In Time tonight



She plays Justin Timberlake's mother in the forthcoming sci-fi thriller In Time.

But there was nothing particularly maternal about Olivia Wilde as she stepped out on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie.



The 27-year-old actress looked stunning in a black floor length gown, complete with a slit at the front, cut out panels at the sides and a near backless back section.

An animal print clutch bag and strappy sandals completed the look, while she wore her brown hair tousled and long.



The star arrived at the premiere alone following her split from husband Tao Ruspoli earlier this year.



However, she looked happy and relaxed, smiling broadly at the bank of photographers along the red carpet.

Meanwhile, her co-star Amanda Seyfried, who plays co-star Justin Timberlake's love interest in the film, looked pretty in a purple and white patterned knee-length number.



She wore her blonde hair loose and teamed the outfit with black heels, at one point posing with Justin, who opted for a camel-coloured suit brown shirt and blue tie.

Justin stars as Will Salas in the movie, which is set in a world where the ageing gene has been halted at the age of 25.



The rich then buy and trade in time, so that they stay forever young, while the poor die out.





Flair for fashion: The actress sported a red haired look for the movie, in contrast to her natural blonde locks



Olivia and Justin's characters are at the bottom of the economic ladder, and therefore have to fight against the clock.



But when Will is gifted 100 years of time by an 'old' man, he is forced to go on the run from a type of FBI organisation called 'Timekeepers' and ends up taking Amanda's character hostage.



Justin has been largely concentrating on his burgeoning movie career this year, recently appearing in Bad Teacher and Friends with Benefits.



'When I read the script, for two or three days, I couldn't stop thinking about the themes - that one being one of them - but also our obsession with looking young forever,' Justin recently told Pop Sugar about his decision to star in the film.
