'We're just good friends': Craig Colton denies dating former X Factor finalist Danyl Johnson after they go to see romantic musical Ghost

X Factor contestant Craig Colton has been enjoying the perks of his new found fame.

He has a special dietician helping him lose weight, he attends blockbuster film premieres and now it appears he has bagged himself a celebrity boyfriend.

The 22-year-old has struck up a close relationship with former X Factor contestant Danyl Johnson but denies that their relationship is anymore than friendship.

The pair met two weeks ago when Danyl, who is openly bisexual, went to watch the ITV singing contest and popped backstage to see all the contestants.

Since then the pair have been inseparable and have been spending a lot of quality time together.

On Wednesday Craig left a Children In Need gala dinner in Manchester early to go shopping with Danyl, 29.

The following day they went to the West End in London to watch romantic musical Ghost.

Craig later tweeted: 'Had a great night with my pal @DanylAJohnson,' to which Danyl replied: '@CraigColtonUK really? I had a rubbish night!! tho ghost was awesome, lol (sic).'

Colton has publicly denied that the couple are anything more than friends and told Digital Spy: 'He came to the show a few weeks ago. He's been working on his new album with some amazing people.

'They were the kind of people that I would want to work with if I did anything, so we met up and he showed me some of his tracks.'

The former biscuit factory worker said that Danyl made him feel at ease and it gives him 'peace of mind' knowing that you don't have to win the show to have a career.

It is thought that Danyl is dating another former X Factor finalist, Lucie Jones.

The pair were pictured holding hands earlier this month on a night out and met on the X Factor in 2009.
