'If I hadn't wasted so much time freaking out I would have done better': Squealing Sinitta faces her first Bushtucker trial

By ANDREA MAGRATH

Panic attack: Sinitta struggled to complete the Bushtucker Trial 'Cable Car-tastrophe' during tonight's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here

She almost didn't make it in to the jungle because of her morbid fear of all things creepie-crawlies.

And on tonight episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, Sinitta proved that she's no brave soul when it comes to dealing with the Australian jungle critters.

The Eighties singer was screaming and jumping about in fear before even commencing her Bushtucker Trial 'Cable Car-tastrophe'.

Critters: The singer was required to gather stars from in and around a cable car crawling with bugs

The object of the challenge was to find eleven stars inside & outside a cable car hanging over the edge of valley.

Sinitta needed to find & release the stars from critter infested boxes & then bring them back to the centre of the cable car & deposit them in the slot on the floor within ten minutes, with each star representing one meal for camp.

The Eighties star went a whole two minutes in the cable car before even attempting to open a box.

Squeal: Sinitta freaked out for about six of her allotted ten minutes before managing to get her first star

She tried to open a box a number of times with encouragement from Ant and Dec below, but screamed: 'No…no…I saw…I saw.'

When Ant and Dec suggested she open the box above her head in case critters fell out she refused yelling: 'No they will all come out.'

With the pressure on Sinitta then shrieked on the next box: 'I don't know what it is…I think it is a snake'.

The hosts reassured her that the box she had her hand in contained nothing alive. She attempted to get the star but passed squealing: 'I can't do it I am sorry I am freaking out'.

Growing confidence: The singer was more confident when she climbed outside the car to grab the stars outside

You can do it: Sinitta kept herself calm by singing 'Happy Birthday' to herself

She went more than six minutes before, squealing the whole time, she managed to get her first star.

With only three and a half minutes to go Sinitta overcame her fear and retrieved four stars from boxes that contained meal worms, green ants by singing 'Happy Birthday' to herself.

Sinitta's found her final fourth star by balancing outside the cable car mistaking the helmet camera for a bug on her head and managed to climb back in and put the star in the slot in the floor just before the buzzer, but not before the floor collapsing beneath her and dropping down the valley.

Just hanging out: She admitted later that if she hadn't wasted so much time 'freaking out' she would have hared better

Dangling in her harness she cried: 'Oh god…I am alright'.

Sinitta told Ant and Dec that opening the boxes went against her instincts. 'Why would I open those boxes?' she asked.

Sinitta said she relieved on winning four meals for camp: 'There was a point in there I thought this is not going to happen at all'.

Meanwhile...: The two camps merged to make one big family

New bromance? Mark and Dougie instantly bonded, leaving Antony to wonder if he'd been replaced in Mark's affections

'If I hadn't wasted so much time freaking out I could have gotten the stars that were outside,' she said. 'Even with the height outside wasn't as scary as inside.'

Sinitta returned to the camp triumphant and cheered by her camp mates.

The two camps merged today with snake Rock and Croc Creek moving in together. When the two camps merged, Mark and Dougie quickly bonded.
